General Membership Meeting
November 1, 2018
Coronado Center, Hot Springs Village

Opening by President Daryl Gress at 8:30 AM. Bruce Limozaine gave the invocation. Then the Pledge of Allegiance was conducted. The new members were welcomed.

A motion to waive the reading of the previous minutes was made, seconded, and approved.

Gary Meyers, Agronomist for the POA was introduced. He gave a brief statement about the condition of the courses, and talked about the new philosophy of riding on the courses more often than previously.

Duane Ninke mentioned the Treasurer's Report for the Fiscal Year 2018 was on each table, and stated there was an ending balance of $6,835.76, and a deficit of $271.47.

Dan Fitzgerald talked about the lack of volunteers for weekly Starter and Scorer, and stated we had gotten some this morning, buy still more were needed.

Jack Sandlin also talked about the lack of volunteers for weekly Scorer and Starter.

Bruce Limozaine stated he had asked the POA for 36 play dates and we had received 32. He stated that possibly two of the weeks we didn't have a play date might be changed to add 2 more play dates, other than on Friday. The first play date for next season is March 1, 2019. The full schedule would be posted to the website once it is finalized.

Darly Gress mentioned an outing outside the Village was being planned. He also mentioned $300 was donated to Junior Golf, and a total of $1,575 was given to Crush Cancer from two Wild Bunch play dates. He also briefly mentioned slow play continued to be a problem, and mentioned several tips for speeding up play and that more were on the website.

Frank Foote announced that Don Zeller had been appointed by the board to serve the remainder of Out Going President's term. He then announced that there were three out going board members whose terms were expiring, and that Jack Sandlin, Al Houck, and Dan Fitzgerald had been nominated and were running for election for these vacant seats. He asked if there were any other candidates who wanted to volunteer. There were none. He then asked the membership for a vote, and they were elected.

Frank then awarded a plaque to Daryl Gress as out going President, and showed the Previous Presidents Plaque, that hangs at Ponce Golf Course, with Daryl's name added. Frank then awarded the plaques for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each flight of the League Championship, played at Cortez Golf Course.

Bruce then mentioned that sign up for Wild Bunch winter play started today. Meeting adjourned at 9 AM for breakfast.
